I started as a Mental Health Support worker since 2022. I have supported children and adults who have gone through mental health trauma. My duties involved supporting the young adults to thrive in the community and also in their own homes. I have managed to help them to learn new skills and to manage their anxieties. I have also helped them regulate themselves in times of panic or while they are being in a crisis. As much as I support my clients with what they might need, I always promote independence. This, to mention a few, I allow clients to do what they are able to do e.g brush their hair or choose an activity for the day etc . I am very passionate about making my clients day better and promoting person centred care. I work well under pressure and I am able to adapt to changes quite easily.
