I have current and previous experience as a Health Care Assistant working in care homes with residents and families who are in similar conditions. I am empathetic, compassionate and observant. I therefore understand how frustrating and upsetting individuals can be if they cannot achieve their goals as they would like. I am willing to be their helping hand, assisting them wherever possible, but also giving them due independence as much as possible, so that they feel fulfilled. I am able to communicate clearly and sensitively to the people under my care and also to their families, and always adopt a person-centred approach. I also ensure that their right to privacy and dignity is maintained at all times, and take great pride in the work that I do.
