Simply visit www.trusted-people.com and select the option to sign up as an employer. Once registered, you can immediately post jobs, browse available workers, and start receiving applications.
Is there a cost to post a job?
There’s no upfront cost to post a job. You’ll only pay when you confirm a booking with a worker. Full details of pricing, including our transparent booking fees, can be found in your employer dashboard.
What information do I need to provide when posting a job?
You’ll need to include:
- Job title and description
- Location
- Date(s) and time(s)
- Hourly rate you’re offering
- Any specific skills, qualifications, or equipment required
- Any health & safety considerations (where relevant)
- The clearer your post, the easier it is to attract the right workers.
Finding and Selecting Workers
How do I find workers for my job?
You can:
- Post a job and let workers apply.
- Search directly for workers using filters (e.g., industry, location, skills).
- Review worker profiles, ratings, and reviews to help you choose the best fit.
Can I contact workers before booking?
Yes! Our built-in messaging system allows you to contact workers directly to discuss job details, expectations, and any special requirements before confirming a booking.
Can I hire multiple workers for the same job?
Absolutely. For larger jobs, you can hire as many workers as you need, either through a single job post or by creating multiple listings if you want to segment roles.
Vetting and Verification
Are all workers verified?
Yes. Every worker must complete a Preliminary Digital Right-To-Work check before they can apply for jobs.
For certain roles, like care, security, or tutoring, workers are also asked to upload valid DBS certificates or industry-specific qualifications.
You’ll be able to see at a glance whether a worker has completed their verification and view their reviews and ratings from other employers.
Can I request additional documentation?
Yes. You’re welcome to request to see additional documents (e.g., insurance certificates, licences) once you’ve made contact with a worker. Workers are expected to cooperate with reasonable requests where relevant to the job.
Payments and Costs
How much does it cost to hire workers?
You pay the worker’s hourly rate, plus a £7.99 flat booking fee per worker.
There are no hidden costs and you’ll see a full breakdown before confirming any booking.
When do I pay?
When you confirm a booking, you will:
- Pay Trusted-People.com’s booking fee upfront (this covers platform costs and administration).
- Pay the worker directly for their work once the job is complete.
- The Trusted-People.com booking fee is £7.99.
This ensures transparent pricing with no hidden charges.
When do I pay the worker?
You will pay the worker directly after the job is completed, using your agreed payment method (usually bank transfer). Trusted-People.com does not handle worker wages — this is arranged directly between you and the worker.
What happens if there’s a dispute about payment?
Our dispute resolution process allows both parties to present their side to us for mediation purposes. However on rare occasions, both parties are encouraged to take any Legal claims or disputes to a small claims court.
Managing Jobs and Bookings
How do I communicate with workers once they’re booked?
You’ll have access to direct messaging via the platform to discuss:
- Job specifics
- Arrival times
- Any equipment or PPE requirements
- Health & safety considerations
What happens if I need to cancel a booking?
Cancellations are sometimes unavoidable. We ask that you give as much notice as possible if a job needs to be cancelled. If you cancel after confirming a booking, the booking fee is non-refundable. This covers administrative costs and ensures fairness to workers who may have held availability for your job.

Can I edit a job after posting?
Yes. You can edit key details (such as date, time, and description) if circumstances change. Workers already booked will be notified of the changes, and they may choose to reconfirm or cancel if the changes affect their availability.
Worker Performance and Reviews
How do I leave feedback for workers?
After the job is complete, you’ll be prompted to rate and review the worker. Your feedback helps other employers make informed decisions and helps workers build their reputation on the platform.
What if I’m unhappy with a worker’s performance?
We encourage open communication during the job to address any issues. If you’re still unhappy after the job, you can:
- Leave an honest review
- Contact Trusted-People.com to discuss your concerns
- If appropriate, initiate our dispute resolution process
Can I rebook workers I like?
Absolutely! You can favourite workers in your dashboard and easily invite them directly to future jobs. Building long-term relationships with reliable workers is part of what makes Trusted-People.com work so well.
Compliance and Legal Considerations
What’s my legal responsibility when hiring workers?
Workers on Trusted-People.com are self-employed, so you’re not responsible for PAYE, National Insurance, or holiday pay. However, you are responsible for:
- Providing a safe working environment
- Check necessary documents
- Ensuring workers have the necessary information, equipment, and training to complete the job safely
- Complying with any legal or regulatory obligations specific to your industry
Does Trusted-People.com provide contracts?
We provide a basic assignment confirmation when you book a worker, but no formal employment contract is required as workers are self-employed. You are welcome to issue your own terms of engagement if needed, as long as they comply with UK employment law.
