Trusted-People.com (“we,” “us,” or “our”) is committed to promoting safe working practices for all users of our platform. While we facilitate connections between Clients (Employers) and Workers, we do not oversee or manage on-site safety. This policy sets out health and safety expectations for both Workers and Employers and clarifies our role in ensuring safe work environments.

Trusted-People.com is a facilitator and not an employer. As such, we do not:
- Provide health and safety training or certifications.
- Conduct on-site safety assessments.
- Supervise or manage work environments.
However, we do encourage safe working practices and require all users to adhere to applicable UK health and safety laws.
2. Employer (Client) Responsibilities
Employers using Trusted-People.com to hire Workers must:
- Ensure a safe working environment that complies with the Health and Safety at Work Act 1974.
- Conduct risk assessments for Assignments where necessary.
- Provide safety instructions and personal protective equipment (PPE) if required.
- Notify Workers of any potential hazards before they commence work.
- Ensure compliance with industry-specific safety standards.
If a Worker encounters unsafe working conditions, the Employer must address the issue immediately.
3. Worker Responsibilities
Workers engaged through Trusted-People.com are self-employed and are responsible for their own health and safety. Workers must:
- Follow the safety guidelines provided by the Employer.
- Use personal protective equipment (PPE) if required.
- Report unsafe working conditions to both the Employer and Trusted-People.com.
- Refuse to work if conditions are unsafe or violate health and safety regulations.
Workers who repeatedly violate health and safety policies may be removed from the platform.
4. Unsafe Working Conditions & Reporting Process
If a Worker believes an Assignment is unsafe, they should:
- Immediately leave the site if necessary to protect their health and safety.
- Report the issue to the Employer’s nominated contact person.
- Notify Trusted-People.com via [support contact] so we can record the issue and take appropriate action.
- Provide details and evidence (if possible) to support their report.
Employers who fail to provide a safe working environment may face platform restrictions or removal.
5. Accidents & Liability
- Trusted-People.com is not liable for accidents, injuries, or damages occurring during Assignments.
- Workers and Employers should ensure they have appropriate insurance coverage (e.g., public liability insurance).
- Serious incidents should be reported to the Health and Safety Executive (HSE) where applicable.
